Can I get Canadian experience points if I worked as a independent contractor for 1 year

I am working for a company as a independent contractor. I have incorporated myself and paying my taxes . Will my experience be counted as Canadian experience points for express entry CRS score?

Why no ?

Read the link. Because as the link states, you are considered self employed and incorporated. You are not an employee. To count Canadian work experience, you must be an employed as an employee being deducted EI/CPP and get T4.

So it is the company you work for and you are paid from their payroll. Your paystubs deduct EI/CPP/union dues etc. and you get a T4 for your tax filing. If so then you are not self employed or incorporated, you are an employee of the company you are working for.

I don't see how that's possible if you already were incorporated and were managing your own taxes.
