I am driving to Canada next month to land, because my COPR is expiring. I just bought a new car this week and will drive it to Canada. I've read that US side requires the title to export the car and that allows me to import it to Canada. But the dealership told me the new title will only arrive in 4-6 weeks, and by that time my COPR would've expired. So I wonder if I can just drive the car across the border but not import it, and do it afterwards when I have my title?
