Hello,

I am waiting for my CEC from outside of Canada to come through very soon (we're pushing 18 months and it says it's 17 months processing).

I was offered a position with a company as an employee, but since I am not in Canada and I don't have a work permit at this time. Can I have the company offer me a contract to my Canadian company (sole-proprietorship with GST number) and work from outside of the country, or will I need a work permit to work for my own company from outside of the country?
