Can I ask my immigration consultant to shift my contract from him handling my file to me doing it?

I already paid him 1000$, on ATI I will have to pay the remaining 2000$ if I get accepted. Is it rude or bad idea to ask him if I can submit my application myself and let him direct me on how to do it instead of him submitting my application? This way I can save money and do it by myself.
note: he didn't submit my application yet.
Submit the change in representative form to IRCC and remove him from your file.. You can then assign/un-assign anyone you want. Is it rude....not really....it's just business. The forms really aren't that complicated....you just need to double check the details and use the checklist. Make sure the forms are current when you submit them. If you have issues there are loads of knowledgeable and experienced people on this forum who are usually more than happy to help.

Did you sign the 'Use of Representative' form? If yes, you must cancel appointing him as your rep by completing Section C of the form.
If he has not submitted your application yet and/or if you haven't signed the 'Use of Representative' form then there's no need to cancel the appointment
