I just got accepted into a Master's Degree program at a recognized University in Ontario to start this Fall 2011, and I am about to apply for a Study permit and I want to include my husband in my Study permit application so he can join me. I am aware that once we get the Study permit granted my husband can ask for a Work Permit. However, the question is: can my husband apply for PR as a skilled worker with these plans? I mean is it better that he applies before leaving our home country? or is it better to apply once we are in Canada?

If he applied for PR before your student visa granted then there is a big chance that your student visa application will be refused as recently we have seen one applicant applied for student visa after applying for PR and got rejected. Its better if you get to Canada first and then apply for PR.

Cheers
Saki
