Hi guys,

I just received a status update and a letter from IRCC on my work permit extension and it says approved. They have provided a Doc number mentioning its validity for the next 18 months starting from today and have mailed them through post which is expected to reach within 6 weeks. [PGWP got expired, applied for extension in May 2022, as the pgwp extension portal was opened only in Aug 2022]

Question:
1. Should I apply for TRV right away or wait for this document? (planning to go to home country around Feb/March 2023)
2. I have my CEC (AOR Nov 6th) PR application in progress. Can I go abroad in this case? Should I send a webform if I get a new TRV stamp in my passport?

Much appreciate the input!!!
Thanks in advance!!!!!

You should apply for TRV asap because it can take a while and you are planning on leaving very soon.

Thanks Canuck78!

Do you know if going abroad for a month, can affect my PR application in progress - since I might get a new visa stamp in my passport and my Police Certificate would still be valid?

Thanks again!

No issue since you got your approved WP extension.
