Can I apply for Spouse Open Work Permit, if my spouse is currently taking Online classes and not travelled to Canada Yet

I have a question related to the spouse's Open Work Permit.

• My wife has got Canada Student Visa and currently doing her first year. She did not travel to Canada yet but taking online classes.
• Can I apply for Spouse Open Work Permit? We both want to travel together to Canada.

I am student in Canada and taking online classes. I am about to apply my spouse visa owp and kid ( visit visa). I am thinking to go back home and when they will get approved. We want to travel together. Is there any chance to get rejected if I will go back home?

Spouses and children of international students aren't guaranteed permits and visas. Instructions say you can apply which causes confusion. Seems 50/50.

I don't think so! Having said that you should stay in Canada until they get approval.
