Dear forum members i have a question in my mind as i came to know here that one can apply for PR renewal

6 months before it expires, is it true. My card is going to expire in April 2015 so can I apply for PR renewal

now and ask for urgent renewal as i am planning to go back home in December/Jan 2015.
 
Even with urgent renewal, you might not get the renewed card in December/Jan 2015. When would you be returning to Canada?
 
Why will i not get the renewed card by Dec/Jan 2015, I heard that in case of urgent renewal they will renew it in a month or even less then a month.

You can still apply for an urgent processing of PR Card, if you include proof of travel in the form of a ticket purchase. see PR card processing time on CIC website and follow instruction for urgent processing.
