Can I apply for a IEC Visa from inside Canada?

Hi!
I am waiting for a invitation to apply for a internarional experience canda/ working holiday visa. My boyfriend already has it but they didn´t invite me yet. If I go to Canada as a visitor and they invite me to apply for a IEC visa while I am in Canada, can I apply from there? Do I have to leave Canada and apply from my country?

Yes you can apply. I did it last year. Once approved you just need to leave and apply for a work permit on your way back. I left to States and came back few days later. You can come back right away. US customs just asked me if I'm a permanent resident of Canada. I said I will come back to Canada with authorization to work and showed them a letter of introduction. Took 2 minutes ;-)
