Presuming I've worked with the same employer for 1+ years during IEC, if I want to keep working past my IEC date with the same employer, am I able to apply for a closed work permit?
Had difficulty finding answer to this question - can somebody please point me in the right direction?
Thank you

If you have an approved LMIA from the employer, yes. Your employer needs to post your job and show no one in Canada with PR or valid work permit can do the job. Then employer pays $1k and files for LMIA. The link is all the information for your employer. Once you have an approved LMIA, you can apply for closed work permit. The process is long so ask your employer to post the job now.
