I just got my post graduate work permit but my Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) was already expired. I have plan of going home in my country by end of this month i.e. Dec.30th and already have plane ticket reserved.
I don't want to renew my TRV inside Canada because I want first to renew my passport to have longer expiry date. Renewal of passport here inside Canada specific for my country will take 12 weeks (too long) hence want to renew this when I go home country which will take just a week. After renewing passport, I will apply to renew my TRV in my home country which will only be almost 10days per processing time posted on CIC. This way, I can have multiple entry visa with longer expiry date. Is this a good decision or just apply TRV inside Canada? What will be the repercussion if applying outside Canada (this case in my home country) if I have all supporting documents like my work permit? Appreciate your inputs please. Thanks!
