can i apply Bowp for me and my wife?

I am on open work and my workpermit expires in coming december.My wife is on visitor visa which is valid until my work permit.We are planning to apply for Cec this month.So probably i need to apply for BOWP in coming december.Can i apply for workpermit for my wife along with me or else i need to apply first and then apply her spouse open workpermit.What are the options i have for my wife.She need to maintain her status legal until Cec application

You can apply for BOWP for you and openwork permit for your wife together. You will become eligible for BOWP by august if your workpermit expires by december.

If you want to get open work permit for your wife you can do that right away too.. They will give open workpermit till your work permit expires, then you can extend her workpermit along with you. In my province getting workpermit helps you getting the provincial medicare card.

so you mean to say that i should apply for BOWP permit first and then apply for my wife after getting my workpermit.
