Hi everyone, I'm planning to apply for Canada pr, i'm currently on F-1 visa in US working for an employer with a valid work authorization. I heard that we need to submit a police clearance certificate from countries we've lived so far if it is more than 6 months. I wanted to know the process how to get a police clearance certificate in USA. Does that effects my stay in us from us immigration department anyway if I apply for that clearance certificate ?
Please help me with your experience, thanks in advance.

You need to obtain US PCC from FBI, applying for FBI PCC does not affect you in any way as far as US immigration status is concerned. Refer to multiple threads on the forum on how to obtain FBI PCC, its pretty straight forward and streamlined process.
Canadian PR application has nothing to do with your US F-1 status. They dont ask for I-20 nor you should provide it as its not in any way related to Canadian application.

Dear folks,
I had applied for PR and I am in my 1st year of OPT. My query is:
-> If I get PR, will I lose my F1 status?
-> I am currently working on OPT. In case if I lose my F1 status(Pray I would not), should I have to stop working?
