Getting PNP nomination does not change your current status. If you are currently a worker or a student then this status remains the same. So the restrictions on your work permit (for example if it is a closed WP) does not allow you to change an employer. Only an open work permit will allow you to change employers/work for any employer.
If you are a PNP nominee under any employer-driven stream, and becomes eligible for PNP partly by virtue of a job offer extended by a prospective employer, the method of getting you to be employed/join/work for the employer is by issuance of a work support letter along with the LoA. This support letter is used in lieu of an LMIA to get a WP, while the PR application is still under process. If you use the work support letter issued by the PNP this still results in a closed WP to the employer who gave the job offer. So you are still restricted to that employer who "sponsored" your nomination (by issuing the job offer letter), and cannot change employers.
Should you change employers mid-stream, then the possibility exists that a re-examination of the eligibility criteria for which your nomination was previoulsy attained (i.e. employee-driven stream, job offer from employer) would see that one of the basis of the nomination (job offer from from former employer) does not apply anymore, so the nomination and the eligibility may be/can be rescinded.
Additional details will help in answering your question - it is not a simple yes or no question you are asking. Now, under what PNP stream did you apply? If it is under an employer driven stream, then there is an employer "sponsoring you". I am assuming here now you are currently working for an employer under an open work permit. Did your employer give you a job offer for you to qualify for PNP?
Again, your current status as a worker will not change with getting the PNP nomination. After getting the PNP nomination you are still a worker, and your open work permit allows you to change employers anytime.
If your application for PNP is not via any employer-driven stream, then you can change employers at will, while waiting for your PR application to be finalized.

Hello
I have an open work permit, i applied my pr under snip. Application status says file in process. Do you i think i can change employer.
Hello
Please do not make it too confusing.....If your employer supported your PNP application, then no you cannot change jobs until federal part is complete
I have a question on this topic. I have been nominated under international postgraduate category and have an open work permit.
If I want to change my employer or leave my job, should I also have an income while my application is being proceed?
Since for international post graduate category, a job offer is not required, do I still have to meet the income threshold or be employed?
I have read some topics in this forum regarding a case of applicant who was denied because of lack of proof of being able to established economically, and provincial nomination was rejected. An other example was a student from MPNP without job offer who was asked by CIC to show proof of income.
If your current status is that of a worker with an open work permit and you filed a PR application AFTER you got your open work permit - You can change employers.
However, IF you:
1. Initially has no work permit
2. Applied for PR with a job offer from an employer
3. Got nomination and a work support letter
4. Used the work support letter to get a work permit (closed WP - to the employer that gave you the job offer letter)
5. Obtained the WP
Then you cannot change employers - closed WP.
IF you are:
1. Initially on an open work permit
2. Is currently working for an employer (in some cases 6months is needed) and the same employer offered you a full-time employment
3. Applied for PR with the offer of full-time employment from your current employer
Then you cannot change employers without affecting your current PR application. That PR application is based on a job offer from your current employer. If you change employers, then that job offer may be rescinded/withdrawn and thus you cannot comply to the PR application requirements (job offer requirement).
I Have Post graduation Open work permit, i applied for PNP (under Nova Scotia experience class stream) I received PNP letter in 1 month, then i got invitation on 15th sep,2021 under PNP express entry, i submitted my file on 26th Sep 2021! now i am waiting for CoPR, my file is under process!
During waiting for PR, can i change my job!?
current job NOC and New Job NOC code is different, will that make any effect on file!? do i need to notify any one!??

I am currently on closed work permit, but I have applied for BC Pnp with support of my employee.
I want to change my employer. Will it be any problem to do so ?
