Can an international student on a PGWP become employed as a Caregiver or PSW?

My friend is a Registered Nurse back home and is thinking of applying as an international student here in Canada. In the event that she is unable to find suitable employment to use in the Canadian Experience Class pathway to become a PR, can she apply and get a job as a Caregiver or PSW instead? And then with enough experience, apply to the HCCP/HSWP pathway?

You need an employer to give you a job offer. After completing two years on that job, you can file for HSW application with 2 years of Canadian work experience.

HI T365, Sorry for interrupt here , as she outside still, must need experience at least 2 years as a Nany or caregiver/Nurse, without experience even she have job offer IRCC will reject work permit application.

HCCP or HSW applications can be filed with zero experience...

HCCP will open in 2022 however HSW is still accepting applications (last i checked)

You need an employer in Canada who will give you a job offer (NON-LMIA)

Can you clarify when you say the job offer is non-LMIA? I thought job offers needed for HSWP/HCCP are LMIA?

Your thought is wrong.... HCCP and HSW job offers are non-LMIA based...
