I am applying from Egypt to attend a conference in June. What is the timeline for business visa applications? Also, how much money (in CAD) am I supposed to have for my stay for a week in Canada (the duration of the conference)? Please advise as I am filling my application now.

You are applying for a visitor visa so a about a year to process. As for money, you want to show liquid funds to support your visit. There are no set funds.

Oh okay! The last thing I heard was that the processing times on the CIC website isn't accurate and it is way less time for a business visa. As for funds, yes exactly, I just wanted an approximation, thank you though!

Processing times are averages. You still are applying for a visitor visa.
