I am an international student and want to start a business in the clothing industry. I do have a business partner who is a Canadian citizen. Can i still start a business or am I missing something?
As a foreigner you can establish a new business and own 100% of its share. There are two kinds of corp. you can chose: federal and provincial. Some province like BC, QC, NS... do not require Canadian residency in board of directors. The others require 20% of BoD members to be Canadian citizen or PR. Regarding to management , you can hold top position like CEO. Google" incorporation in Canada" !
