I sent my full application to Buffalo in mid September. Does anyone know how long it is currently taking Buffalo to send the email confirming they have received the documents? Did anyone receive such email / letter recently in September? If so, when did you send in your full application to Buffalo?
Buffalo does not respond to you by email to confirm receiving any documents, even if you send them an email asking if they got the documents you sent, they will respond to you saying that they can not acknowledge receiving anything due to high volume of mail and emails. The next step will be taken on their part by sending the acknowledgment letter containing the file number and then asking for whatever needed documents to support your application.
Do you know how long it usually takes Buffalo to send this letter with file number?
It is my understanding that local visa offices are required to update the *BXXXXXXXX* File number assigned by CIO with their local visa office file number within two weeks of the 120 day deadline. I also heard that this is when Buffalo sends out the letter containing the new file number to the applicant, effectively confirming the receipt of the complete application package.
Are you aware of such timeline? If so, is Buffalo keeping this timeline commitment or are they already falling behind?
It went from "Application Received" (June 09) to "CIO-S Eligibility Assessment Complete" (August 09) to "Withdrawn" (September 09). Is this normal?
I am guessing this means CIO has closed the file and the next step is for Buffalo to open the file at which point the eCAS will change again. Has anyone had the same sequence of changes in their eCAS in recent months?
