bringing your car to Canada

Are there any rules or taxes to be paid on a car coming from the US to Canada? My fiance will be moving here in the (hopefully near) future once we are married and he gets his status, and he wants to drive here with his things and bring his vehicle (an SUV). My questions are - what are the rules at the border with his items and belongings, if any? And, does he have to pay to bring his car over here at the border or at any point in time? Thank you.

You have to export/import the car from the US in addition to declaring it on your B4 when you land. There is a lot of info on this subject if you search the forum.

Ok thanks so much, I will look into this. I have a random quick question on another topic.. how long is it taking right now for the apps to go thru for family class sponsorship from start until the sponsored person gets approved for status? Last time I heard it was 11 months... and hoping things have been speeding up since then.. thanks.
