Because CIC will know that you are applying for PR for your wife and child they will be concerned that they will stay in Canada and apply for inland PR so they will likely refuse the trv. Also since you will be living in Canada your wife and child won't have very strong ties to India. You can try but most likely it will be refused.

A few short trips for you, provided you can continue to meet the RO. As I said, your wife and son are likely to be denied TRVs.
