I'm working in Calgary with a work permit valid until July next year. On my last visit to my country I got my girlfriend pregnant. Now I'm thinking about bringing her here to give birth.

She can get a 1 year work permitbut I don't know if she will be covered with health care at the moment of giving birth.

I understand that if she works for 3 months she can have access to healthcare but don't know about being pregnant so is a pre existing condition?

Hope somebody could give me advice
