Bridging Open Work Permit

I am under a provincial nominee and my visa will soon expire. I don't have any restrictions in terms of my Provincial Nomination letter and when I first got my work permit it was an open one. When I have to renew it, my PNP officer suggested to have a close work permit which I have currently. However, my work permit will expire again this coming July and my immigration consultant said that I can apply work a bridging open work permit since I dont have any restrictions. Is this correct? Please advise!

I am in the same situation as yours. yes, you can apply for OBWP. While i was trying to do that they ask for medical exam results. Do you know if we need medical for the extension ?

I am not sure if it is needed when applying for the extension however I have my medical exam result already from my PR application.

i think that is fine. as long as you have submitted your application before the expiration of your work visa.

Hi,

I am not sure if it is needed when applying for the extension however I have my medical exam result already from my PR application.

i have also done medical for my PR in last September and i passed it. But i dont have results with me as the doctor sent resullts to CIC directly. How did you get copy of your medical? my work permit is going to expire in the end of june. its been 20 months since PR application is under processing. i hope maybe i will get PR before that.

hello all,

I have applied for BOWP on june 30th. received submission confirmation letter.
no update after that.
I didn't attach my AOR with my application but I received my AOR before applying for BOWP.
I didn't have any provision to attach my AOR. so I didn't attach it.
what to do now?
I raised CSE on july 17th by attaching my AOR.
Should I wait or is there any other way to upload my AOR?
please help
