Looking for advice:
Our live-in caregiver had a 2 year contract with us which started January 2015. Her husband moved up to BC from the USA where he was going to school and so she started living with him. She gave us written notice on Sept 17, 2015 that she would be quitting and her last day would have been Oct 1. We decided not to have her continue working for us during the 2 week notice.
My question is: Because she breached her contract with us, are we still required to pay her for the 2 weeks?
We feel very screwed over by her and do not want to pay her any more then she deserves....
Thanks.
