I applied for BOWP today, nov 14, 2014 and my work permit expires on dec 14, 2014. what happens if i dont get a BOWP and my work permit expires? am i still allowed to stay in Canada?

Yes you are allowed to stay in canada , your status will be implied status

As long as you applied your the BOWP before your current work permit expires, you will have the implied status since that expiry date until they made decision regarding your BOWP.

If you have valid travel visa, then yes you are allowed.

The BOWP is all you need if you are from a visa-exempt country. If nationals of your country require visas to travel to Canada, then you will also need a TRV. You can apply for that in Canada or outside.

I have to go back to korea for my sisters wedding. Im thinking of quitting the job bf i go back. Is it ok to tell the officer at the airport that i am currently not working n waiting for my pr?

Well if they ask then yes.. be truthful.. as long as u have valid travel permits they shouldnt have an issue granting you admission back into Canada.
