I have received my AOR on 25th July 2014 , filled my application with CIC on 12th June 2014.My WP is valid till Feb 2015.

Please advice should I go with normal WP extension next month or apply for BOWP ?

You are not eligible for BOWP yet and why extend your work permit since you have 6 months to go? For BOWP you can apply only within 4 months of expiry.

Thanks Maniac

I just wanted to to know should I ask my employer to file my work permit extension or I just go for BOWP by November end ? I am lil confused.

WP extension typically requires a positive LMO. Believe me, it is quite expensive to obtain (fees + employee needs to post up your job for a month and show evidence that they made effort to find your replacement but was unable to find one).

Personally, getting a BOWP is the easy way out.

bowp hands down. In an LMO you will be tied to your employer. BOWP on the other hand has no such restrictions.
