BOWP - May Applicants

I'm a May BOWP applicant and have looked all over for a May BOWP thread but didn't find one, so I've decided to start one. I am a May 28 applicant and haven't heard from CIC yet. Hoping to by early October. All May applicants please check in on this thread and share your timeline. Thanks!

I applied May 25th. My work permit is due to expire September 17th so will be in implied status until I receive my BOWP. I got an email update from CIC on Monday and went in but looks like nothing updated.

I applied online on 11-May; and apart from a ghost mail on 9-Aug there are no updates yet.
The email said 'Your application has been updated' but when I logged in there was no change in status.
My WP expires on the 7-Sep, so guess I will have to spend some time on implied status if there is no progress by then....

I have received at least two of those automated email "updates" from CIC. All they say is that there have been no updates to my file. When I check online, it says they haven't even started working on it yet. It's getting close to 100 days now so I really hope their next update indicates some genuine action. I'm now on implied status as of August 31. :

I applied on May 7, got the ghost email at least one and half month ago. but not start yet now

Is AOR gurantted extension work permit?

Hi there

I am the guy who is waiting for the extension permit but meanwhile I got interview for tomorrow

I am a little concerned that I would not have extension permit even if I pass the interview.

since I applied 17th May, I do not think I have to wait for long time.....

Here is the question, Do you know Under CEC applicant, will extension permit be guaranteed as long as

AOR is obtained?

Please advise guys

No one can provide you any guarantees. Your interview results won't help your BOWP processing in any way. If you applied by mail then you're likely to have a decision on it done soon, if you applied on-line get ready for a stressful waiting as not even all April applicants have still received it. Add 3-5 weeks from now. At least and if you're lucky.

I've tried calling them before but have never gotten past their brick wall of automated responses. They do not welcome calls whatsoever. I read about other people here calling and actually talking to CIC but I have no idea how they did it.

Follow change of address route from automated call, you will get through.

Just got a mail and confirmed that my application is approved
I had applied online on 11-May, so I guess the processing time mentioned in the CIC website is accurate. Good luck folks!
