BOWP from outside Canada

Guys...
Can we apply for BOWP from outside of Canada while PR application status is in process...
Pls suggest..

As "Canuck" rightly mentioned, we can not apply BOWP from outside Canada. It is meant for all those who are in Canada, have applied for PR, Received AOR and whose WP is expiring. If you are meeting these req, you can apply for BOWP.

Hi Guys

I have a question regarding the BOWP as well. Can you apply for it while your in Canada but during the processing leave the country and then come back when its approved ? My current WP expires in August but I want to apply for my BOWP before i leave in June.

Technically, OB485A says the officer will check that "the applicant is currently in Canada". I'm not sure they actually do this though. I got my BOWP and no-one came around to check up on me, not even a phone call. Of course, the permit will be mailed to your home address, so if you want to re-enter the country with it, you'll need someone to forward the permit to wherever you are.
