BOWP for spouse - please clarify

Hello

I applied for PR under cec in feb 2014. I also applied for my BOWP and received it in August.

I have a few questions regarding BOWP for spouse and visitor permit extension for daughter

1) My wife already has an open work permit expiring on 5 dec 2014. When we apply to extend it, should we ask for BOWP or just normal extension of current owp?

2) My daughter's visitor permit is expiring on 5 dec 2014. Can i file for her extension online? Should i just open a mycic account in her name for online submission? Also her passport is expiring in may 2015. is there any rule that pp should be valid for 6 months for visitor permit extension? or can i ask for extension until pp is valid?

Please provide some guidance.

Extension of open work permit. (Only the Principal applicant is eligible for a BOWP, but she can extend the spouse open work permit on the basis of your BOWP).

I am going to apply my daughter's and son's visitor permit extension online. On the questionnaire, you will be ask to add family members (I added my spouse and 2 kids) and indicated that I will pay the fee as well.

On my checklist, after answering the questions, I'e get all their forms. I am targeting to apply online next week.

I have no idea about the passport validity.

The permit will be valid until the passport expires. Suggest looking into getting the passport renewed ...
