I reached Toronto a couple of weeks ago....
My current closed work permit is going to expire in a couple of months. My spouse has a open work permit till the end Sep, 2013. I am planning to apply for BOWP as I already applied for PR and received AOR.
Questions:
1.Is my spouse eligible for BOWP?. If yes, should I apply separately or I can include him/her in the same application?
2. Should I pay fee for my spouse also if not separate application?
2.Since our visa is going to expire on the same dates, Can I apply for visa at the same time I apply for BOWP.
3.Can I apply for visitor visa for my child immediately after I applied for BOWP.

You can apply together but you will have to fill in a separate application
2. Should I pay fee for my spouse also if not separate application? Yes
2.Since our visa is going to expire on the same dates, Can I apply for visa at the same time I apply for BOWP. Not sure. Generally I apply visa after getting WP
3.Can I apply for visitor visa for my child immediately after I applied for BOWP. No idea. May be seniors can help
Hi all seniors or those with some experiences to share
As you respond to question below please share if anyone (who is the principal applicant for CEC) was successful in obtaining a BOWP for their spouse as well? Was the spouse currently employed or not?
did the spouse have to have a job offer / and or under professions A, B 0?
I'm also interested for this.....however I'll have this situation just in next year, as I've sent my CEC application in Aug but our WP expires in end of April....and I've my daughter in here with a visitor record expiring at the same day.
see this link to answer all your questions---read all the way to bottom where it covers open work permit for spouse of BOWP

For your can also renew the visitor record at the same time. Note that if you applied for PR under CEC there are no set preconditions to be met by the principal CEC applicant in regards to the profession you do- means you don't necessarily have to be in NOC skil level 0, A, B
