BOWP expiring soon, Received new passport

HI Everyone,

Hoping someone can give some guidance on what to do.
I received a BOWP on Jan 28 2021 with expiry Jul 05 2021 (as my passport also expires Jul 05 2021).

I'm still waiting for my PR to get approved, hopefully.

I've now got a new passport now valid for 10 years.

How can I get my BOWP extended?

Or do I need to reapply for a new BOWP with my new passport? Just trying to avoid the extra cost of reapplying again

Since you have to maintain your status throughout your PR application processing. I will suggest you to apply for an extension of your BOWP with your new passport.
Extending your BOWP wont be an issue for you since your previous BOWP was only issued until the expiry of your previous passport meaning it was not issued for its full validity.

You have to apply by paper application

Don't forget to include a LOE explaining your situation.

Some people however apply by online application too and attach a LOE with their application.
