BOWP after PGWP

I have question.

I have read in many threads/youtube videos that we need to have an ITA (Invitation to apply) Before applying for BOWP. This is kind of confusing to me.

Can someone please confirm ?

As I understand. Before the PGWP expires, we can apply for PR (CEC category) and once we receive the acknowledgement letter we can use that to apply for a BOWP and continue to work.

Again, you've misunderstood the rules.

You only get the acknowledgement letter AFTER you have received ITA and submitted your complete application.

You do not get the acknowledgement letter simply for setting up an EE profile. You must have ITA to qualify for a BOWP.

I understand I won't get an ITA just because I setup an EE profile .

• live in Canada (Quebec not included)
• have a valid work permit that expires in 4 months or less
• be the principal applicant on your permanent residence application
• have submitted a complete application for permanent residence and passed the completeness check
• have your acknowledgement of receipt letter
  • we send this letter to your account after we get your permanent residence application

I can't see any requirement related to receiving an ITA. Does this mean, I will only get the acknowledgement letter only after submitting EE profile after receiving an ITA ?

I am planing to apply under CEC category after obtaining 1 year of work experience in Canada (PGWP).

As of now, I can collect 1 year of experience 2 months before the expiry of my PGWP. I'll have to receive the ITA within those 2 months in order to apply for BOWP :'(

Exactly.And even if you submit a Confirmation Letter,but ee application does not pass completeness check,the BOWP still will be refused.

I'm very familiar with the requirements.

As I said previously, you will only get acknowledgement of receipt AFTER you have received ITA and also submitted your complete application post ITA.

No ITA = no acknowledgement of receipt = no BOWP.

Yes - now you have understood the rules correctly.

You will need to receive ITA within those two months and then submit your complete application post-ITA in order to qualify for the BOWP. The BOWP application must also be received by IRCC before your PGWP expires.

Any idea what's the average time it takes to receive ITA in CEC category ?

There's no average time. It all depends on what your CRS score is when you enter the pool and what the cut offs are for the draws at that time. IRCC has been running a lot of CEC only draws over the last while which has caused scores to go down. As COVID restrictions relax, it's quite possible IRCC will go back to general draws which will cause scores to go up again.

Want to know that once I apply BOWP and I know it takes 4-5 months for the application to be done. But do I get a receipt of acknowledgement or something for BOWP application? Which i can use and renew my SIN?
