During my last visit to Canada in December, my fiance and I got married. Now when he comes to the USA to visit me, will there be any issues with him saying he is coming to visit his wife? Just worried that they will not believe we are just visiting. We have not filed our papers for spousal sponsorship yet because we are just getting started with background check.

Nobody can say for certain, just be honest but show strong ties to your country.....employment, house, family and you intend on leaving after a set period of time, a return ticket will help with this. Also be cautious of the language you use I.e. Visiting as opposed to living/staying.
Thank you. We only visit for 3 to 5 weeks at a time. We both have long employment in our jobs. Usually they ask purpose of visit and he says visiting girlfriend. Sometimes they ask how we met, always ask where we work and what we do. On my last trip, the border agent actually joked about me not finding a boyfriend in USA, I told him the right one was in Canada.

Should be no problems. My wife visited me after we got married and they didn't ask her any different questions than before we got married. They did ask when she will be leaving and she told them and had a copy of her return flight itinerary to present but they didn't ask for it and just let her in no problems.

My husband and I drive across the border to visit each other and it hasn't been a problem. I have even crossed with him in the same vehicle and just told them he would be driving me home and they had no problem with it. We are just honest and haven't had any issues.
