Hi, today I got my tickets booked from New Delhi to Toronto from a travel agent company in Lufthansa Airlines (Delhi Vienna Toronto). Initially I got it booked for me, my wife and my child, and three seats were allocated. The person who was doing the booking mistakenly entered wrong date of birth of child, which I noted later after leaving the travel agent's office. I called them and told about the mistake. They canceled the name of the child from the ticket and issued the new ticket of the child with a new PNR number. Now, according to the new ticket the seat number of the child and my wife is same (23K), and now three of us have only 2 seats. Travel agent said that there will be no issue with this as another seat will be allocated to the child in the plane. Since this is my first airline travel, I am very confused and tensed. Someone please suggest.
As recommended by anil_india call Lufthansa to know the details. Further for a two year old kid the regular seat belt do not work, you may need a car seat for safety. Airlines do not provide the car seat.

You can allocate the seat by yourself, go to Lufthansa website enter your PNR number and choose seat, same seat to 2 passengers? , you must check with Lufthansa about this. Same seat can be for two if the other passenger is infant.
You can log into Lufthansa Site using your Lastname and PNR/Booking reference number. You will find details of passengers with booked tickets. It will clearly show if you have 2 or 3 tickets. You can also use this site to block your preferred seats as well.
