I was born in St Catherines Ontario, 1986. Both parents are British however emigrated in the 70's both were permanent residents of Canada.

They decided to move back in 1992 to Britain, i did not have a Canadian passport however i was allowed passage due to my Mothers British passport.

I now have a British Passport (however it does say birthplace Canada as does my UK driving licence)

I have not visited Canada since i am now 33.

Can i theoretically come back and work regardless if i left when i was 6 ?

Many regards
Tony.

In theory, your Canadian birth certificate is sufficient to demonstrate Canadian citizenship.

Your problem would actually be getting to Canada, as you don't have a Canadian passport and you are not eligible for an eTA on your British passport. You would need to transit via the USA/Canada land border.

So, get a Canadian passport, as mentioned above. You don't need to obtain a Citizenship certificate.
