Birth certificate requirements

Hello

I am permanent resident of canada. I am sponsoring my wife in family class. While submitting documents, we need to submit birth certificate of my spouse. However, the birth certificate which she has is quite old as it was issued since she was born (about 25 year old). Will it be acceptable?

Printed copy or original copy required ?

I really appreciate if you can give me a guidance on this.

You don't need a birth certificate when you apply for PR yourself? Please read the instructions again.
