Hi,
Can anyone please guide me here? With great pain, I have gathered all my documents for my spouse sponsorship but there is an issue with the birth certificate registered late. Will it suffice if I send copies of Aadhar, PAN, Driving License, Voter Id along with birth certificate as proof of birth date? Also, do I need to send originals as mentioned in their country specific requirements? Appreciate any guidance on this from anyone who has been through this.
Thanks Wakki sir. That was helpful indeed.
One naive question - Have you already been through the spousal sponsorship process and got the PR for your family?
One more thing - do we require to send a self addressed envelope for them to return the original docs that we submit ? Or they will arrange it by themself? Please advise as I need to ensure that I get my original documents back as it is a big hassle getting duplicate copies in India.
You could either send a note to IRCC now through Webform to inform them, after final approval of your sponsorship for PR, you want these original personal documents you submitted be returned........or during the final phase of the sponsorship process, when you receive request for passport.......you will need to send your passport and a self addressed return envelope for the return of your passport.......include a note to tell IRCC you want these original personal documents you submitted be returned with your passport.
Explain in your note its a big hassle to get those documents in India and appreciate their understanding.

Can you please confirm if you provided original or the photocopy of marksheets for birth registered late. If yes how did they sent back the original documents. I am in the same situation and really confused!!
