Birth Certificate or Secondary School Certificate for DOB?

Can we submit Secondary School Certificate( Original In English) for DOB proof if we don't have the original BC?
Does CIC accept it valid or no?

It will be a supporting document. You can also add a self declared and notarized letter indicating your birth date.

Yes you can submit the Secondary School certificate for DOB proof for CIC.

Thanks for your help guys.. But the problem with Secondary School Certificate is..it only has my wife's name and not her parents name.. Is this an issue?

No in this case it will be not acceptable by CIC .
One of parents name must be there in Secondary School Certificate.

You have to submit an affidavit issued by your Father-in-Law mentioning the birth details of of your wife.

A self affidavit is sufficient as well, its not mandatory that your father-in-law has to give it.

I dont have a birth certificate and I gave a self affidavit and it was accepted.
