Biometrics with covid-19

Hi all,

I am currently applying for work permit LMIA exempt. Today I received a letter requesting for biometrics. All ASCs in the US are closed at this moment until at least May 3rd. It is risky and difficult to travel at this time and my US visa expired meaning I will not be able to come back.

Is there anything I can do except for wait?

You'll have to wait for the ASCs to reopen and then complete biometrics.

Yea work permit in US processes faster than inside Canada. Plus biometrics collection in Canada is closed as well

Nobody knows if they are processing. According to the news they process essential worker cases, and all the steps that can be done online. If anything needs to be done face to face it is cancelled/ postponed.
