Biometrics letter

Anyone ever got a request to pay biometric fee in their account? I received a pay biometric fee request for my 17 year old son. Paid it yesterday. Don’t know why they didn’t send BIL at time if application for him but my husband got his. Now after 4 months they are requesting biometrics. Do you know how long after payment it takes to get the BIL?

Usually it can take up-to 24 hours for IRCC to send you your Biometrics Instruction Letter (BIL) after you have successfully uploaded your fees receipt for your Biometrics in your Online Account.

Mine was uploaded Tuesday. Still have not received any. But our application is under review still

In your online account, What is your status showing for your biometrics section?

We do not need your fingerprints. We will call you if we do. —— remember I have not received the biometrics letter as yet. I pay the fees and attached the receipt on Tuesday. So that wouldn’t change that’s why I was asking how long it would take after payment to receive the biometrics letter. Oh. And the application was submitted from March. They just got to the application and sent a biometrics request letter
