Biometrics for Express Entry applications submitted before 31st December

Hello Everyone,

I received my ITA on 6th December and submitted my PR(Express Entry) application on 30th December. I noticed that starting 31st December, Biometrics are required which was not the case until 30th Dec. I live in India (Indian citizen). I would like to know whether I need to give biometrics or not. Should I wait for CIC to request it or submit it proactively.
At the moment, my application reads
"We do not need your fingerprints, we will send you a message if this changes"

Please guide me.
