Biometrics fee twice??

Hi, I applied for my study permit to canada around November 2022 uploaded all required documents and paid the application fee of $150. Few weeks later they sent an email telling me to pay the biometrics fee $85 and upload the receipt to the IRCC webpage which I did shortly after. After I uploaded the receipt it showed an amount of $150 to pay, but in retrospect I already payed that same amount to submit the application, does that mean I have to pay it again to submit the biometrics payment receipt??

Hi David, I'm in the same boat as you, did you ever resolve this issue? And if you did, mind giving a step by step? I've had a nightmare in a basket trying to deal with it.
