Bill C24 - Going abroad for studying or work.

Hello All,

I am a bit confused with this new C24 bill which is a law now. I became a citizen around 2011 (been here since then) and would like to know if I am in danger of getting my citizenship revoked if I go work and study in the US for 2 to 3 years? Please advise. Thank you.

People who already got their citizenship and those who will take their citizenship are absolutely free to go and work or study without their citizenship being revoked.

Thank you MUFC....its confusing with all the articles and blogs...I thought this applies to people who are already citizens of Canada.

Many people want to scare those people who are coming from the 3rd world countries, because for them the Canadian citizenship is something like the holly grail.
