Hi all,

I am currently in a NOC-B job. I have enough points to apply for my PR. my current PGWP is valid till 2023 March.

I'm going to get married in June-2021. and I'm really confused and want to know which is the fastest way to bring my wife to Canada after our marriage
(she has Bachelors degree from India and but no work experience)

I see few options -
1. I don't apply PR now, wait until after marriage and then I apply for Spouse Open Work Permit (SOWP)...showing my PGWP and NOC-B job... (but will it get approved - she has no Work xp and we will be newly married at that time?)
2. I don't apply PR now, tell her to apply for VISITOR VISA as soon as its open to apply, bring her to Canada after marriage and then either apply for SOWP for her or apply PR together
3. I apply for my PR now itself and get my PR card within June. After marriage I sponsor her and apply for her PR (But I think this will take a lot of time)

pls advice me as I'm going crazy thinking of all the options. If there is some better option pls do tell
*****im not worried about getting my PR as i have enough points even now and my PGWP has lot of time - only concern is bringing her over here*****

Thanks in advance

Check processing time for Work permit.
After you get married , you can apply for work permit for her and after she comes to Canada , you can apply for PR together but calculate points with her.

Do you have a long in person dating relationship? An SOWP is often denied if there is very little relationship history and you apply right after marriage. If your spouse is not working it may be very hard for her to get a TRV. Would apply for PR and add her to your application once you get married.
