Hello, What's the best bank to get a high credit limit credit card with no job offer as a newcomer? I heard TD and Scotiabank changed their policy after Covid to only give 500-1000 credit limit. Any recent experiences?
$1000 is plenty to start you off.
That probably the maximum you'd get. I know CIBC first credit limit is $1000 but if you pay your balance in full every month, they usually increase your credit limit every three-six months. I've had it for two years and my limit is $15,500. - Just keep your credit utilization below 20% and pay it in full every month. It'll go up pretty fast
