Guys,
Could you please advice us the best area to live by in NE Calgary in terms of security, malls, bus stops. We are a family of 2 adults + 1 baby and wanted to rent an apartment.
Thanks.

You said the best area in NE Calgary. Whereas it maybe best for one family but might not be best for others. What kind of malls are you looking for? Selling Filipino groceries?

If U from Pakistan then I say u right , NE is best. .
When new , try to live near LRT station or place were u get direct 10 min bus from LRT. Plus near school.
Area were u can get cheap house (newly built basements- approx 800-1000 $ a month all inclusive are Saddletown area , Martindale, Falconridge for newly built or Rundle, temple ,, Whitehorn etc. For older basements )
Avoid malborough /Forest lawn /Dover /17 Ave SE area.
Avoid down town though it has cheap condos/ appartment now days (you wont find south asian grocery easily).
I say book hotel for first 4 days (2 queen bed , big room will cost 50-70$ a day). And then u can see house location yourself before moving , if u need any help while in Calgary then don't hesitate to call me ).
