Hi All, i have a few last questions before sending in my application!!!!!!!!! Wow what a lot of work this has been to prepare Shocked
I have a few small questions i hope you all can help me answer:
-The certified translator stapled his translations together for the birth certificate and marriage certificate... Can I / should I remove this staple?
-IMM5490 has a translator section for sign off at the end. This section does not say explicitly not to fill out. I put N/A here, hope it's not a problem.
-The Regional specific checklist lists the document in a different order than the IMM5491 checklist. Which order should i use?
-IMM5491 has a section 'Children Information', however i don't know exactly which forms it is referring to. Is this in reference to IMM5604?
-Should i actually include the regional specific checklist?
Thanks for any help at all.. I may have a few more questions before i send it off!!
I know these are boring questions, but any help at all?! :-X
I dint think it matters too much about the staples. My translations were paper clipped to the originals.
I left that translator section blank, I'm sure NA is fine.
I used the non regional checklist for ordering just because it's the Ppl who approve SA that do the completeness check right at the beginning when you send it in.
You can read about what should be included under children's information in the guide I think. I don't have any children so it was an NA for me.
Yes, you need to include both checklists in your application.
On your regional checklist it outlines exactly what you need to put for children's information, I just checked.
hi there...
-remove the staple and use a paperclip if it's going to worry you. if that's your only staple, i'm sure it won't be a big deal. a VO just doesn't want to sit there and remove a hundred staples.
- we didn't leave any blank information on our sheets, even if it was really obvious that it didn't apply to us. i just figured it was better to put N/A where something is actually N/A.
- i organized the official forms by order of the document checklist, and the supporting documents sections I organized with a cover sheet for each part listed on the checklist explaining what was being included, and what was included was organized by the regional checklist. for example, the cover of the section would say:
"Sponsored Person and Family Documents
Identity and Civil Documents:
1. Birth Certificates
2. Final divorce decree
3. Copy of marriage certificate"
- IMM5491 specifically says, as per the "Immigrant's Guide" which is your regional checklist. If you have children on the application provide what the regional checklist tells you too. for example, my two stepchildren are on my husband's application so we needed to provide custody agreement papers and notarized documents from their mother saying it was ok they immigrate to Canada etc., if you don't have children on your app this obviously doesn't apply to you.
- I put the document checklist on the top of the sponsorship papers, and the regional checklist on top of the applicant's papers with what was included highlighted and check marked. and yes both checklists need to be included.
good luck.
Thanks so much for the response! I got my application sent away today, with your help!!!!
