Been to US 3 times < 6 months each but in total > 6 mos. Quest on Police Certif

As you most probably got from the subject I´m unclear on whether I need a Police Certificate from the US. I´ve been there 3 times. Each visit was about 4 months so in total I´ve been there for a year.

You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

I dont know how to interpret this. It´s perhaps the only time I feel an immigration lawyer would actually be useful. According to the regulation above, I feel I do not need a Certificate from the US but suggestions/prior similar experiences are highly welcome...

You have not lived for 6 consecutive months, so you dont need FBI cert from US.

as described by mam(mitali),it is not required but to avoid any future delays it would be recommended to obtain the certificate which is not a big task neither discomfirt to acquire

I think I wont submit it. They say not to submit not required docs so dont want to be refused for this...
