I basically received a mail saying that I need to send my passport and when I sent it....
Now that I have your attention, What up?
So I am an international student currently in the USA. I applied to the university of Ottawa and I had been admitted for Jan '18. When I had applied for my visa, I had been refused and the reasons were that they don't know if i will leave Canada after studies, they don't think i have enough money and they don't think that i'm lawfully studying in the us (which I am). So, I have been admitted again at u Ottawa for Sept '18 and I am going to reapply for a study visa. Can you guys give me ANY advice on how, what and when to send the new application. Anything that could help, maybe your sample of sop, sample of proof of funding, exhaustive list of documents to be sent, thorough suggestions. Thank you so much for your time.
I agree with the prior post, based on an experience of a friend of mine who also applied from within Canada. There seems to be some link between you applying from your home country & the approval (holding other things constant).
Additionally, my wife was recently in Canada doing fact-finding and when we secured the help of the canadavisa team, the instruction was to apply from home. So they guided us with our document collection, explained each step of the way, submitted the application (on her behalf) only after she had returned home and then kept us abreast of the processing right through to the approval.
So I guess my best bit of advice is that you secure the services of canadavisa.com with your study permit. Money well spent.
NB: This is my wife's 2nd study permit application. She was denied in Aug 2017 when we submitted on our own, but then when re-applied (with the help of the David Cohen led team) got approved in about 3 weeks.

Hi Craig! Do you mind sharing the reason why your wife got rejected initially? Was it due to her applying from outside of her home country or other reasons? I am gathering documents to apply soon and this would help me a lot
