Hope everyone is getting ready for a smashing long weekend!
I'm working for an employer facing organisation based in Vancouver, BC. We work to highlight to employers, the benefit of hiring skilled immigrants such as yourselves.
My organisation has recently launched a website that aims to help employers connect with Canadian newcomers in the hope of securing them employment. The website is called www.bcjobconnect.ca and is free of use to all newcomers in Canada who are based in BC or intending to base themselves in BC and;
• Who arrived in Canada in the last five years, or
• Have a Permanent Residence (PR) number
• Are currently looking for employment
Looks interesting. I'm currently getting my papers together to submit my PR application in early October, and if all goes well I'm aiming to move between April - June of next year. Is it too early for me to create a job seeker profile? I'm just curious to see how it works and maybe find someone that is looking for a future start date.

Unfortunately, it is a bit early for you to create a job seeker profile and in any case, an employer might be reluctant to engage at the moment due to your lack of PR status. Do you know what line of work you're interested in?
I understand. I'll check back when I have a more clear idea of my date of arrival. My main line of work is IT Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
