Do I place the barcode pages for IMM 1344 and IMM 0008 at the TOP of the applications forms, so that these pages are the first pages that will be seen?
They want the bar codes on top of the entire application (not just the specific forms).
The Visa officer in Mississauga should open your package and immediately see all the bar codes. This makes for quick scanning and you will be immediately in the system.
Though both are mailed together in same envelope, Sponsorship and Immigration Application are two different applications. Use paper clips to keep each set separate, no staples. I Prefer it this way, less confusing.
Place the barcode page(s) on the top of your application (forms and supporting documents) when you submit it.

Yes, exactly. On top of all forms and supporting documents. It goes on top of everything.
It should be the first thing the vo sees when they open it. It doesn't specify it goes on top of the specific form.

It does not specify that barcode pages go on top of everything. Key word is application
This line is from Instruction Guide and appears separately for each application.

I prefer it this way as do many other who have posted on this forum. Many others have done the way you suggest. Have not heard anyone getting refused for doing it either way. So, I guess it is acceptable to CIC both ways.

On top of IMM 0008. This should be on top of the Immigration Application (forms and supporting documents). As I suggested earlier, keep both sets separate with a paper clip.
